Visitor Entry And Exit Procedure In Pharma:

As we aware that pharmaceuticals produces a life saving drugs and involves high risk of contamination or cross contamination.

To stop such problem entry and exit procedure must be defined. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines for the routine operators as well as visitor entry and exit procedure should be available on site.

Visitor Entry procedure:

Primary Gowning Procedure for Visitor:

1. Visitor shall enter into the change room through authorized personnel only.
2. Collect the disposable beard cover (If applicable), disposable cap, shoe cover, trouser and apron from cabinet provided.
3. Wear the disposable beard cover (If applicable), disposable cap, shoe cover one at a time while swivel over the crossover bench factory change room-2.
4. Disinfectant both hands thoroughly by using the disinfectant available in dispenser.
5. Wear the Primary gowning.
6. Check the attire in full-length mirror provided to ensure dress is properly worn.
7. Disinfectant both hands thoroughly by using the disinfectant available in dispenser.

Secondary Gowning Procedure for Visitor:

1. Visitor shall enter into the change room through authorized personnel only.
2. Use different color shoe cover in process change control.
3. After primary gowning of visitor change room, proceed to secondary gowning.
4. Disinfectant both hands and enter into the process change room for visitor.
5. Collect the secondary gown and shoe cover from the cabinet provided.
6. Wear shoe cover while over the crossover bench.
7. Wear the secondary gowning over the primary gowning.
8. Check the attire in full-length mirror provided to ensure dress is properly worn.
9. Disinfect the hands using hand disinfectant provided.

Visitor exit procedure:

Visitor exit procedure from secondary change room:

1. Enter into the secondary change room from manufacturing area.
2. Remove the secondary gowning. Remove second shoe cover while swivel over the crossover bench.
3. Dispose secondary gowning and shoe covers in respective used garment cabinet and shoe cover cabinet.
4. Exit into the primary change room.

Visitor exit procedure from primary change room:

1. Enter into the visitor primary change room from secondary change room.
2. Remove the primary gowning and sir on cross over bench and swivel over to primary change room.
3. Dispose primary gowning in the respective used garment cabinet.
4. Dispose the cap, beard cover (If applicable) and shoes cover in the provided cabinet.
5. Proceed to exit from the primary change room.

This is a generally used visitor entry and exit procedure in pharmaceuticals. By following this procedure organization can meet the WHO requirement as well as can stop the contamination.
